Unannounced Rest

Unannounced Rest is a performance piece that temporarily occupied Jeonggwanheon for a month during Deoksugung Project to substitute Inwardly, Determine Yourself. During the period, Inwardly, Determine Yourself was removed to a museum in the palace. A performer was hired to wander around where the work was originally installed, wearing a shirt with the following sentence printed on it in Korean: “Stop Mr.Kim as he passes by and talk to him about unannounced rest.” The performer stayed in the building for a set duration during the period, before the work in the museum was moved back to Jeonggwanheon.
