2005/1 composed by Manfred Werder. Actualized and recorded from March 1-31, 2010 in Zürich by Jason Kahn. Published at winds measure recordings (Brooklyn NY, 2012).

Facing the cement sculpture with an unidentifiable shape, the viewer listens to the sounds with a headset from a CD player placed beneath the sculpture. The sounds invited for this exhibition are of 2005/1 of Manfred Werder, a Swiss composer. This work was recorded at 10:00 am every day in March, 2010 at the central train station in Zurich. It originally consists of eight CDs, but for this exhibition, a part of them has been selected. Just as one interviewer of composer Manfred Werder had once mentioned, these sounds enable one to simply listen and concentrate on what is going on in the world. It might be a preposterous scene in which one is gazing at the cement piece listening to the sounds, or an informal/unconventional state of experiencing sculpture.
