Monster Map, 15 min.

carbon paper drawing on the wall and floor
dimensions variable
2008

The work is consisted of wall and floor drawings copied by using carbon papers on the photographs of the original drawings, a text which is the starting point of the whole project, and a sculpture There is Nothing Left to Add nor Take Away. The spread of colors or lines in the drawings of Monster Map, 15min. and other drawings that followed the work is a result of the artist’s method in which she draws a line with a tip of a pen that goes along a ruler or pushes the ruler itself to draw a line. She used a ruler to create the drawings of Monster Map, 15min. since she had problems with one of her arms and hand that hamper her not to draw freely at the time. While she was using a ruler, the ink that leaked from her pen stained the papers. These drawing are, therefore, themselves unplanned, missed moments.
