This work is affixed at one end to a pillar and consists of a wheeled, steel fence connected to wood panels in the form of a moving barricade. This pillar is not an existing structure of the gallery space but was constructed to appear as such by the artist based on the other pillars in the space. The panels display five ambiguous words and phrases, including “Knees”, “Wherever you are, at one o’clock on Tuesday, open the north window halfway and stand in the middle and wait.”, “Move a little to the right and then tilt to the left, slide down. You will arrive there, at that very place.”, “Stay put on the floor nearest the wall, stare at what approaches from afar and splits in two.” and “Slightly bend your knees until they touch the top of your head. Do not leave.” According to the artist, these five texts describe events that have yet to occur or times that have yet to come. It is not important when or what these things are. As the viewer wanders around this large sculptural construction and reads its texts, she gradually experiences the sculpture’s ungraspable yet existing time.
