This single-channel video shows a scene of a performer attaching a microphone to her foot, grotesquely bending over to fasten her shoes, and walking around an empty space; accompanying the visual recording are the sounds produced by the microphone. The performer creates unusually distorted postures and movements in order to amplify the sounds of the bottoms of her shoes against the cement floor. These movements produce sharp, fricative sounds that resound through the space while making the viewer confront an unstable situation that lacks cause and effect.
